Cupping therapy frees one from putting pressure on muscle by decompressing fascia with gentle suctions that lift skin tissue to effectively improve blood circulation and decrease muscle inflammation. Cupping relieves aches and pain within muscles and joints by pulling blood through short held suction applications into those blocked areas, and while it improves circulation, it also decompresses pressure upon impinged nerves.


It can be used to help with discomforting respiratory problems on the upper back and chest, such as coughs and wheezing during cold or allergy season. 


Cupping can be quite effective to release toxins in muscle tissues while activating the lymphatic system and clearing energy Qi blockages. Cupping therapy can help to open the ‘Meridian’ channels of the body, channels that run energy Qi throughout the body, and balance every part of the body,including organs and tissue. 


Cupping is also great for resuscitating the skin collagen by tightening the matrixx of the fascia with better blood flow. It is another complementary way to tighten loose skin and cellulite.

    Francesca Ciani is a Professional Massage Therapist in New Hampshire. She is a 2006 graduate from The Scherer Institute of Natural Healing in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and licensed as a Massage Therapist in New Hampshire as well. She is further trained and certified for Medical Massage, Cupping Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Tui Na Massage and Energy Bodywork, and Instructor for Therapeutic Qigong Exercise. Francesca is also an intuitive bodyworker that is committed to the well being of her clients. She is further certified for Cranial Sacral therapy, Tui Na Energy bodywork, and Therapeutic Qigong instruction. Francesca is also an intuitive body worker that is committed to the well being of her clients.
